Building Civic Tech for Every Phone, Every Language
Accountability cannot belong only to people on fast connections and expensive devices. The hard engineering choices behind a platform built for all of Nigeria.

Naija Accountability
If a civic platform only works on a flagship phone and a strong signal, it quietly excludes the very people it claims to serve. So accessibility was not a feature we added at the end - it shaped the build from the start.
The interface is available in English, Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, with dates shown in the Nigerian DD/MM/YYYY format throughout. Language should never be the reason a citizen cannot report or check a record.
The platform is designed to hold up on slow connections and budget devices - the everyday reality across much of the country. Images are optimised, pages are kept light, and the experience degrades gracefully when the network does.
None of this is glamorous work. But it is the difference between a tool for a few and a tool for everyone. A democracy that works has to be a democracy everyone can reach.
